Medical card & PRSI

If you are entitled to a medical card or PRSI treatment benefit you can access a free eye examination every two years.

Medical Card

Medical card holders are entitled to a free eye test and free glasses from a certain range of frames.

Alternatively, your entitlement can be put towards other spectacle offers or lenses.

Prior authorization from the H.S.E is required in order to claim your medical card benefit. The claim form is available in our stores and our staff will be happy to assist you in completing and posting it.

PRSI

If you qualify for the treatment benefit scheme, you are entitled to a free eye exam every two years. At Mullins & Henry, our fast email system ensures approval in two days. At time of making the appointment, just give our staff member your PPS number.

Claims can also be made on a spouse’s PRSI.
